Hello, my name is Taylor Stiff and I am currently a student at The University of Texas at Austin studying Textiles and Apparel. I first became interested in stage makeup and face painting during my seventh grade year of school. I took theatre in seventh grade and in which we learned about different musicals. The musical, "Cats", particularly stood out to me from the rest. I loved the costumes and makeup used to transform the actors into their characters. It made me realize how important costumes and makeup are in movies or live productions. I then decided that I wanted to be "Victoria", one of the cats from the musical, for Halloween. I began to practice my face painting skills and slowly I began to perfect my craft. After Halloween, I wanted to create more art with makeup, but I wasn't going to wait for the next Halloween. I began to paint and brainstorm ideas whenever I had the chance. Slowly, I evolved to painting more complicated face designs for creating different characters. I plan to continue growing in my face painting skills to transform actors physically through my talents.
