Makeup Video Tutorials

Here are some makeup video tutorials to showcase my work and help others transform themselves into something magical.

Russian Nesting Doll Inspired Makeup

For this project I was inspired by different Russian Nesting Dolls, including one feaured in my video from my grandmother. I painted my face to resemble an painted traditional Russian Nesting Doll. I submitted this video and look to the 2016 NYX FACE Awards. Please help me along my journey by liking this video and subscribing to my channel! I used black, white, light blue, red, brown, yellow, light green face paints for this look. Some of my other products are red lipstick, washable glue stick, black eyeliner pencil, light foundation, and thick concealor. For my hair, I staightened it and pushed it back under a red bandana to help create the illusion of a smaller doll face. I finished off the look by appling some yellow streaks in my hair with yellow face paint.

Futuristic Alien Inspired Makeup

For this project I was inspired by current looks that included objects used in the makeup. I painted my face to resemble an alien from the future. With the 2016 New Year just around the corner, I was inspired by all the flashy, glitzy makeup looks people wear to watch the ball drop. I thought a futuristic alien would be great to do this time of year because with a new year there are a lot of new discoveries to be made, possibly including life on other planets. I used Snazaroo face paint for this project. The colors included light blue, white, and silver paint. Som eof my other products were tin foil, Elmer's glue, blue, green, and pink eyeshadows, gem stones, eyelashes, and Duo Lash Glue. For my hair, I staightened it and pinned a strip of tin foil on my forehead and hairline to create a headband.

Mosaic Lizard Inspired Makeup

For this project I painted my face to resemble a lizard with a mosaic inspired appearance and texture. I was inspired to do this face paint because since summer is around the corner, lots of little green lizards have been coming out from hiding. I thought a mosaic inspired lizard would be perfect to do because mosaic pieces have lots of color and have almost a scale like appearance. I used Snazaroo face paint for this project, focusing on the colors dark green, medium green, light green, red, light blue, dark blue, yellow, black, and brown paint. I straightened hair and folded it under itself to create a fake bob. I used bobby pins to keep it in place, strong hold gel, and Herbal Essence Volume Hairspray.  I added medium green facepaint to my scalp in order to create a smoother transition from my painted face into my  hair.

Winter Wolf

For this project I painted my face to resemble a wolf, from the North America winter climate. I was inspired to do this face paint because it was snowing in Dallas, so I wanted to get some neat makeup photos in the snow. I thought the winter wolf would be perfect because in my oppinion wolfs are very heroic and consitered to be brave, leading packs. This reminded me of of our society as humans; always trying to becaome the alpha and lead the pack. I used Snazaroo face paint for this project, focusing on the colors of white and black paint. For the hair I teased my scalp area of hair and formed my hair into two "ears", bobby pinning them into upward poofs. I added black and white facepaint to my scalp in order to create a smoother transition from my painted face into my human like hair. I also sprayed my hair with Herbal Essence Volume Hairspray.

African Wild Zebra

For this project I painted my face to resemble a zebra, from the wild African grasslands. I was inspired to do this face paint because I thought that it was interesting how the zebra has so many stripes to help blend it into the background of the grasslands. I used Snazaroo face paint for this project, focusing on the main colors of white and black paint. For the hair I smoothed some white face paint into my hairline, extending to the ends. I also sprayed it with Herbal Essence Volume Hairspray.

Victoria From the Musical: Cats

For this project I painted my face to resemble Victoria, one of the cats in the musical: Cats. This was the first project I ever did with stage makeup. Originally, I painted my face as her for Halloween. I used Snazaroo face paint for this project. The mad scientist wig is from Party City, which I shaped to form into cat ears and hair. This was the first ever face I painted in stage makeup.
